When we were married 27 years ago I think (oops) we were to stoney broke to afford rings. I borrowed one that I could slip onto my wifes finger during the ceremony and then returned it the next day. To this day niether of us has had a wedding ring.
i reckon as a 30th wedding anniversary thingy, you should be dead romantic, marry her again .... and give her a ring to keep

I think thats a great idea. Good reason for a second honeymoon too.

Used to lose my wedding ring quite often over the years, absolutely lucky that I always found it, now I only wear it when I know I'm not doing dodgy things.

Looks like you are going to be doing a bit of riddling
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

Second honeymoon. We never had a first. When I say we were stoney broke I really mean stoney broke. Good lord, you should have seen our first house. When we first moved in the kitchen cupboards (of which the previous owner was very proud) were made from the cabinets of old TV sets. We were recycling long before it was fashionable.

Oh Broadway, I hope you find your ring. They do have a way of turning up.
My Father in law lost his when he was 80. He had no idea how he had lost it and was very upset.
He went into his local dump with some rubbish and the attendant shouted to him "Hey, did you loose a ring in here last week " There was his wedding ring.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I have a metal detector, and wouldn't recommend buying one just to find the ring.
Mine was pretty expensive too, and you can set it at different depths and to detect different types of metal ( well....THAT'S what it said in the instructions!)
Needless to say, we've only ever found rusty stuff and an old septic tank ( oh joy!).
Best use for it has been detecting if there is any lead shot in pheasants from the shoot....Oh yes - and nails in the floorboards.

I hope you find it...up to you though about a metal detector though!

Do Argos sell them?? _you could 'borrow' it for the day ( shhh- I really didn't suggest that!)...oh- they do £19.99
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

                        Location....Normandy France

It is 7.35 on Saturday morning and broadway is 'Online Now'. Shouldn't you be out in all this rain ferreting about in the compost by now. Have fun and good luck.

Oh and forgot to mention. Don't trust that Frodo, Sam and pippin. The last ring they found, they threw it away.
