If you get chance before the world blows up, can you point me in the direction of the recipes for these, or are they a 'Flum Special'? If they world is going to end, I might as well be eating nice cake.
They are a baisc rich butter cake Hazel -
        4 oz butter or marge
        6 oz sugar
        3 eggs
        8 oz SR flour
2 fl oz milk (or in the case of the orange and cranberry, orange juice.)

The nana one has 2 mashed bananas and a coule of oz chopped pineapple plus and extra tsp bicarb.

The orange one has the zest of the orange and the cranberries are soaked in the juice for half an hour.

I do them in loaf tins at 160C for about an hour

You can put a drizzle glaze over if you feel fancy!

        • Does this mean I still have to keep those Thursday appointments?

Good news! Ever since they switched on that thing in Swizerland, we've had sun here in Bucks. I think they're on to something. If they can keep it going, we might get as much sun as they do in normal places in the world

                • Well, it's had a good effect here too, no rain and sun shining.

Just been out and picked all my unblighted green toms and put them in the conservatory, only about 10 unblighters (plants) left now.

Bring on the Hadron whatsit if it gives perpetual sunshine - you watch it'll go wrong tomorrow and then we'll have rain

                    • Well, they didn't actually collide any particles today. They just sent a beam clockwise and made measurements then sent another beam anticlockwise and made some more measurements and everything worked. The deliberate collision of clockwise and anti-clockwise beams will happen sometime in October so in the meantime before the world ends, let's paaartay!

                        • Tried to post last night but couldn't - quote from Jurassic Park (10 year old son, eats, sleeps and dreams dinosaurs, could be worse) - The question they should have asked is not could they do it, but should they...

Anyway, apart from enjoying the improved weather, when nothing appeared to happen re: Hadron, apart from computer randomly shutting down, I thought I'd spice things up a bit by making some chicken stock in the pressure cooker Always a tense exercise but saves fuel. My Mum used one all the time but left me with a real fear of them.

At least when my plants/car keys/phone/etc disappear I can blame it on the creation of small black holes.

                          Glad you're all still here.

                            • Another sunny day....I reckon they really turned it on a bit earlier in the morning and that we are now in a parallel Universe
The excessive moisture was clearly vapourised when the Flux Capacitor temporarily overheated in the Time Vortex.
