And he is a paid model. Real lab tekkies have two heads, high foreheads, Neanderthal overhanging, cliff face eyebrows and Joe 90 style large horn rimmed glasses.

Cheeky Bugger! I wear contact lenses I'll have you know!

Actually, yes, you're right. Definitely a model. His labcoat is clean and I can't see even ONE 'marker-leaked-in-pocket' stain. FAKER!!

Don't laugh, but I was used by my last lab as a 'model' when Candis mag sponsored it. I was making cell-culture medium at the time, which has pH indicator in it (phenol red). The photographers wanted pictures of 'the red stuff', as it was so much more interesting than Phosphate Buffered Saline. Oh and me and boss had to pretend to be 'testing' new equipment. Said equipment was just a magnetic stirrer with a heating function, so we both had to twiddle a knob and look like we were concentrating. That pic was splattered over all the local and regional papers. Oh the shame!! And yes, I DID have stains on my labcoat!

If you want seriously wierd-looking scientists, come to our Chemistry Department. Straaaaaange...

I work in a lab too. That model isn't even wearing gloves or eye protection and he has no beard. Pfffft! Amateur.

Must get back to counting my pipettes.

Hey ~we've supposedly got 4years yet!!
What makes me laugh is that H&S dictates kids can't play with conkers anymore yet blowing holes in the earth & messing with metaphysics & all that(can you tell i wasn't too good at science at school!)is perfectly o.k!

I was less than impressed by a so-called expert who said on Radio 4 this morning that any black hole created would be minute and would 'probably' be short-lived!

Since when has 'probably' been a scientific term? Short lived by what standard - 'age of the Universe' standard or ' not long till the kettle boils' standard?

We may all be meeting them soon.

Now where is my "Intergalactive Laxative"?

I had it in the 70's when - oh, it doesn't really matter now..... just showing my age

Well it seems to be the bees that are disappearing rather than the dolphins, but you never know

Do you think wine would work in place of beer...
