I must admit to having wet eyes at one stage of posting and had to go for a cuppa but it's the frustration with the futility of it all. I chose to read the thread and post a reply after all.

I wanted to say something in the hope that it may reach a parent or child and make them talk about the risks involved over a meal tonight or over the weekend. That positive thought makes me feel better.

It's not completely the kids' fault though, is it? How many times have you seen parents yanking a kiddie across a busy road, dodging traffic?

Yep all the time and even worse in my view those parents who are standing on the pavement with the buggy already on the road waiting for a gap in the traffic . They don't seem to realise how at risk a child at that level would be if a car had to swerve, but they keep themselves safer standing on the pavement.
