  • It's Nearly Time

Sorry to mention this again but tomorrow morning we are going to fetch my new Basset Hound puppy. Phoebe. So excited, can't wait. I'll be like a five year old on Christmas Eve tonight. Yippee

So we won't be seeing Snuffer for a few days , bet you're having a great time with that pup.

Joy will be 8 weeks on Monday and now learned how to do the steps into the garden, she discovered grass for the first time yesterday - hysterical

Phoebe is here and is settling in very nicely. Our other Basset Hound, Bertie, has accepted her and they are getting on very well. Our four cats are doing their best to pretend that they haven't noticed her but keep having a sneaky look at what she is up to. I will eventually post some pictures but need the help of someone that is more computer literate than me. People have posted instructions but, for all they mean to me, they may as well be written in Latin.

Is she making gremlin noises? They sound so sweet when they haven't found their bark, we joked that we shouldn't get Joy wet or feed her after midnight

HayleyB. Sorry if you've already told us, I've got a mind like a sieve. What type of dog is Joy? I'm most looking forward to when I can take Phoebe for a walk. I have cleared part of the lottie and intend putting a two foot high trellis fence around it so that the dogs can be kept out of trouble when we are working. When Phoebe can be trusted to just lounge about without supervision, as does Bertie, I will make this area a chill out zone and add a bench and shed if I can get permission from the parish council for the shed.

Glad Phoebe is settling in Snuffler, you'll know the cats have accepted her when they give her a scratch on the nose! Please get someone to show you how to load photos, it's a lot easier now, you don't seem to have to bother with re-sizing etc., just click on 'post a reply' then click on the 'paperclip' symbol next to the 'smiley' in the block at the top of your reply message & a box will pop up on the top left of your screen, if you click on 'Browse' that will connect to your computer & you just click on 'my pictures' or wherever your photos are then scan through to click on the pic. you want, click the righthand button on your mouse & a menu opens, click on 'select' then click on 'upload' in the GYO box & when it's uploaded click 'close this window'.When you post the message the photo will appear as a small 'thumbnail' in your post & if you click on this you will see the full size pic.

                          Hi Snuffler

Joy is a GSD and 1/16th collie. Mum (Philly) is 47 kilos and beautiful and knows it. Joy looks like she may make 50 kilos she had her first jab on Monday and weighed in at 8.6kg so she is going to be big.

We must see a pic of Phoebe, bassets are so sweet when pups, all ears and paws I bet you having a great time with her
