Entered 17 classes in the local Garden Society Autumn show at the weekend.
I won:
two first prizes (for cooking),
a second for my parsnips,
and lots of thirds (including one for 'tray of four scheduled veg' and one for 'display of curcubits'),
but the most exciting bit was walking away with the Annual trophy for highest aggregate points collected over the year, for a member who has never won a trophy before!
I was so chuffed! Most of the trophy winning members have been in the Society for donkeys years and clearly grow-to-show, whereas I don't, I grow-to-eat and have only been a member for a year, so I thought it was really nice to have that trophy in place that beginners could win.
