    Did you manage to get any decent ones Shirley? If not, how about Apple & Elderberry jelly? A friend brought some she'd made at the weekend and it was lovely, not something I'd have thought of myself. The elderberries seem to be doing really well round here, not as mushy as the blackberries!

      I know it as pick before 1st October or the witches will pee on them :lol
      Its also a bad time for rabbits getting Myximitosis the midges that carry it live in the brambles

        Didn't venture into the orchard yesterday - had trouble standing up straight it was so windy!! Will see today, if not then I will have to check out the local elderberry situation.
