Suicidal Snails

With having a pond fully stocked with voracious slug eating toads I can grow picture postcard hostas etc and only have occasional problems with visiting snails from the neighbours gardens.

I can remove these everytime it rains though as they just have to "surf the wet paving" allowing me to tap dance all over them by the garden lighting.

Does anybody else have snails with suicidal tendencies?
