It's confusing, isn't it my username is Birdie Wife because that was what I was called when I was working in Orkney for the RSPB as a warden on one of the smaller islands - the RSPB put a warden up there on a summer contract each year, and the locals call the warden the "Birdie Man" or "Birdie Wife", depending on gender. So Birdie isn't my husband, it's a job description!

                  Congratulations!

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics, especially as your dress looked stunning when you showed us before!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Here you go - sorry about the wait! My boss did the photos and wanted to winnow out the duff ones before giving them to us. Hope you like!

the flowers mostly came from my garden... I'll never again complain about Crocosmia because we could have had drifts of the stuff...

and here's the church, it's a former mission hall dating from the turn of last century.

It's the local church up Strath Halladale - tiny 'wriggly tin' listed building with lovely lichen-covered trees outside. It's about to become a community hall - all the pews are coming out and going into storage so out wedding was the last event ever to be held there before it all gets gutted. Quite a few local people turned up for the event because of that - not invited, just turned up! 'Twas a lovely day
