    Primroses and snowdrops?
The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

Karan Junker does a very good book (much less snooty than Beth Chatto !)
She also keeps most of the plants at her nursery

Watch out with the rhododendrons.....they are on the hit list...they are causing big problems in some areas. They are taking over the woodlands.
          Lords and ladies, butchers broom.
Would really need to know your soil type and site conditions.
Make sure the bluebells and the English type!
What a fab project - well done you.

The little wood near us has honeysuckle climbing through the trees and foxgloves around the edges and in glades.
Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
