i haven't watched a james bond film, since sean connery left, ........ sorry, but he doesn't do it for me like sean ....... even though he's old enough to be my dad, i'd still lend him a few, that voice is just soooooo sexy *drools*
I've not watched a Bond Movie in years [40 of them - ie never]; your man up there played Francis Bacon's lover in a film years ago and was in Our Friends from the North - a guy called Geordie if I remember correctly.
We have had a bit of a quandry in our house though. When we went to see the last film at the cinema there's a scene just after Bond has come "back from the brink" (the bit in the car with the defib), and he orders a Martini at the bar. The barman asks "shaken or stirred?" and Bond replied "do I look like I give a ****". Now in, the DVD version he says "damn", but we're positive he said something a bit stronger in the cinema version. Anyone else?
SD and I agree he did say f**k on screen - shame on you Bond
Knew it! Thanks for the confirmation - we did think we were going mad. Nobody else seems to remember it - such a defining moment for a modern Bond too!
Edit: You ever tried finding reference to the original dialogue? It all states he said "damn". Lies I tell you, lies.
Used to be an avid fan of Bond. Gone off them over the years. Had to watch "Die Another Day" after watching the last scenes being filmed from my office window. Met Pierce Brosnan too, got his autograph on my office notepad. Unfortunately left it in my desk drawer when I was illegally sacked .
