When Happybunny was about 4 or 5 we saw a red arrows display at the tall ships event in Greenock, a few days later she was a school and told the teacher she was going to be a surgeon and on her day off fly with the red arrows, she was obviously impressed!!!

We used to get the Red Arrows here nearly every year, there used to be an airshow at Barton Airport near us which is a really tiny airfield, but we used to get Vulcan's the Red Arrows, jump jets & all sorts flying in. They don't have it anymore because of cost & health & safety issues so I think you're really lucky Lottie Dolly to see them by chance!Into every life a little rain must fall.

I prefer the sound of the merlin engine - think Spitfire wooooooo but no doubting the Dead Sparrows are pretty special - oh and did you know we have two Kiwi pilots in the squadron at the moment.....my Kiwi pal was totally blown away and thrilled by that when she came here for Air (Families) Day

The Arrows are based just a couple of miles from me, so I see them practising on a regular basis. Even in the 16 years I've lived here though, I've never lost that 'oooh!' feeling! We also see the BBMF flying over quite often, which is even more magical (and a bit surreal!).I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."
