I bought one when it was reduced to almost nothing. To be honest, mines not a lot different to a jamjar!!

I've got 2, and I find them really useful. Each of mine have the bottom drip tray with three others on top. I use the middle 2 for sprouting seeds or beans, and the top one I line with kitchen roll for those ones like cress that need to grow 'on something'. Having the different trays means I can sprout different varieties seperately, without them taking up a lot of space.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Mine sounds the same as yours BarleySugar, it's really useful having more than one tray as you can rotate them around, start them off at (eg.) 5 day intervals and keep a supply going.

I have a couple of these and they are almost in constant use - lovely to produce fresh crunchy sprouts so easily. I have two types, one is a jar with a cute purple lid with a hook thing on for draining, the others are same as BarleySugar's
