Oh, porridge is brilliant for lowering cholesterol.
I soak mine in water overnight with some sultanas for sweetness, then cook it with some milk in the morning. Super-fast.

I'd recommend clearing out your house ... bin or give away all the bad tempting stuff. If you don't see it, you don't want it.
Fill your fridge with healthy snacks like apples, yogurts, cup soup (watch the salt) chopped veggies & hummous.
I did this with Mr Sheds, who used to snack on 200g blocks of chocolate & cheese between meals ... he doesn't even miss them now.
Good luck mate - you'll have more energy if you ditch the cr@p food, and I'm sure Mrs Dobby will appreciate that
Oooh, please give the food away. I hate it when I see food going into the bin, when someone, somewhere, is starving and crying out for a meal of ANY quality! Take it to Age Concern or Sally Army.
we are still going to eat what we got had no chrisps for a week and that includs Mrs D we used to have a bag a day whit buttys for dinner at work now I have buttys and a yogart drink and a 2 fingerd kitkat insted of chrisps and a mars bar or bounty or marthon.......

Just wondered why you say 'not tinned' for tuna? Is it because some of it is preserved in brine?
Tuna only counts as an oily fish when it is fresh. This is because when it is canned the omega 3 oil levels are reduced ... so although canned (tinned) tuna is a healthy option it doesn’t have the same health benefits as fresh oily fish. How Much Oily Fish?
Tuna is only counted as an oily fish if it is fresh or frozen, as the tinned variety does have some oils, but not as much as the fresh one.Rich In Omega 3 | What Is Omega3?
In mice, a protein ... appeared to be switched on when the animals were given a high fat, high sugar diet.... once the protein was switched on, the mice started eating more
That sounds to me like: bad food makes you eat more. Not only are the mice eating bad food, but eating too much as well.
