I bought some yesterday as it was on offer in Sainsburys, did a wash at 30, the lowest my machine goes and it all came out clean and smells lush!
Have used eco ball thingies in the past, fine if the wash is not too dirty but no good for dirty football socks and ketchup stained sweatshirts ( thats the kids not me!)
Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.

      I can't use anything but Persil Non-Bio.

My friend got married in the US and moved over there but couldn't get the stuff and is allergic to anything else like me. When we went over to the wedding I took a whole suitcase filled with boxes of it for her, believe me I was biting my nails going through customs, declared it on their customs form but still had a horrible feeling we were gonna be nabbed at the exit

Oo-er, I haven't posted for ages, then I go and choose something very domesticated and non-gardening related!

I buy Ecover in 25l drums from Suma wholesale suppliers - I get together with a group of friends and we order stuff every few months. It's a great way to save, although you do have to check the prices, as some things are *whisper it* cheaper at Tesco - but buying Ecover like this works out quite a bit cheaper (about £2.05 per litre), plus you're cutting down on the packaging. Only downside is that it takes up a fair bit of space. Ecover do good discounts every now and again, so I stock up when it's on offer.

I always use less liquid than they recommend, and the clothes are usually fine, despite having three children (and an OH) who seem to attract dirt! I put Vanish on bad marks, and always wash at 30 unless things are really grubby.

Show's what a scary memory that was for me it's Fairy Non-bio not Persil .

I was a bit thick though.

I bought 10 boxes 18.7kgs and never gave it a thought. Then some friends told me I must be bonkers so I started getting worried. Rang Customs spoke to a nice lady who said it wasn't illegal to transport washing powder and didn't seem to think it was a problem. However all my friends said they would wait for the big News report "Woman smuggling a suitcase of white powder held at Airport".

18.7kgs of white powder went through baggage collection at Atlanta - phew, except you have to check the luggage back out for it to be transported to the other end of the airport where you collect it again and go through customs. By then I was feeling physically sick with fear.

My friend was very grateful though

I used to live in a commune (it wasn't really, but felt like it) in Brighton, and I used to bulk-buy Ecover stuff from Infinity Foods ... brilliant.
Can't do that here, nobody else wants to share the order.
