  • One day I'll get it right!!:rolleyes::D

Not particularly proud to admit it but I've never really got the hang of being a very organised mum!The school office have gotten that they now know my voice on the phone I'm there so often with forgotten packed lunch/P.E kit & even once I'm afraid her knickers that I thankfully discovered she'd forgotten just before playtime~so she was saved the ultimate embarrasment!Yesterday was another not so good day~got her some new rollerskates & she was so desperate to wear them on the way,so I popped her shoes in a carrier & proceeded to leave them at home anyway!!!Another embarrassing trip to the office,!!
So anyway!!!!Today I was so determined to get it all right!Really proud of myself that lunch was packed, bags at the ready blah de blah all with plenty of time to even treat her shoes with a lick of polish!!WOW!!Polished shoes was the icing on the cake........until I get there & the teacher said "where are her wellies?"!!!!!
    There's always tomorrow!!!!

Glad I'm not the only one whos a bit disorganised!
Lauren had to go to school without lunch yesterday as I had to go out and buy her third lunchbox (yes, third in 3 weeks) and drop her lunch into the office.
It seems young Maximus (the hound) has got a bit of a taste for said lunch boxes and if I'm daft enough to leave them within reach, they're gone!!
He's also had a chomp on her drinks bottle, one of those aluminium types, but as its only dented she still uses it.

        I wouldn't worry about it!!!

My little bro was in such sticky situations when he was younger, that on the last occasion that my mum was called to the Rozzers [police station], they knew her as she walked through the door and greeted her by name.

I do believe that was the last time by little bro got into trouble. He must have got quite a talking to [roasting] at the time as she still goes on about it 20 years later.

Do you want me to do a laminated checklist for you and get it sent over???

ha ha! I've so got all this to come. Lunchboxes; gym kit; being on time for everything... what a minefield! Our little baby girl is only 8 months old and I'm slightly worried about all this already! I used to struggle at just getting myself out to work every day and used to be an expert at putting make-up on in the back of a cab with a piece of toast in my hand.

I might look into home schooling...

I found it easier to stop caring what people think!! And remember, for every uber-mum there are hundreds of us normal ones.

I'm trully rubbish at prganising myself, I've got a PDA, mobile phone, notebook and a LadyWayne to help me, but I still forget all sorts of stuff.

Packing for holiday takes me as long as the holiday itself.

"Right, now, did I pack the....."

Oh God without wanting to now sound uncaring to DD it's nice to think it put's a smile on a few faces!!Just seemed so bl**dy typical that the one day I was super mum & even got the shoes polished I was supposed to be sending her to school in her wellies!!!
& Piskie....You might of gotten me worried there but thankfully now it's a bit on the chilly side she opts for trousers or tights!!!
Zazen maybe knickers could be top of the list!
Rhona!!The extra exercise you get toing & froing with forgotten is great exercise!!You'll be fine!!

Try getting four boys dressed and out the door on time like I had to. Luckily I am always early for everything, so always had time to pop back and get stuff. Daughter often sends me a text saying she has forgotton something or other so I have to nip up to school with it. Never forgotton knickers though !!! although when my second son was four he had swimming lessons once a week and every morning I would put their clothes out ready for them, we got to the swimming pool one day and he had four pairs of pants and socks on, he just kept putting them on top of each other, no wonder his shoes were too tight.
You will get there in the end.

And it doesnt end when they get to 18 either. One or the other rings most days and sometimes all of them for something ( usually money ).

i forgot so many things over the years, even sent son to school with a sore throat once .... turned out he had scarlet fever ....... i've even tsken him to school 3 times ...... during the holidays ..... he never forgot his knickers though

the packed lunch thing was sorted for when i was late, i'd do the shopping, make a weeks worth of sandwiches, and stick them in the freezer, they defrost by lunchtime, and also keep the lunch box cool ....... but that was about the only organised thing i managed

tee hee, my mum could never remember what I was suposed to take, I know I was bought a P.E. kit every year but I cant remember ever doing P.E. in anything other than bare feet and nicks and vest, though one time I was mortified as I didnt have my vest, my headmaster used to take me home in his car at lunch times to collect swimming stuff and clarinet etc. ( I had a key around my neck on a shoe lace and I often got home to find Id left it on the hall windowsill during PE and had to walk 2 miles back to school and 2 miles home again )
He also used to take me to A and E on a fairley regular basis to get a nebulizer for my ashma as my mum would say your not dying just yet and I cant afford a day off work you'll have to go to school.

I just hope Im slightly more organized with bump, though I cant quite picture it somehow.

What a stunning idea I so wish I had thought of that during the pack lunch era. These days I'm afraid at 15 and 17 if they forget lunch thats tough
