  • Frost - but not frost

Did anyone see A Touch of Frost on Sunday? He (David) is top notch but how much longer can a >70 year old play a Dec. Insp. what would have retired at 55

By this it would mean that Nettles - he of the massive murder villages could carry on in his Barnaby role for >30 years

    Nettles for another 30 years...eek

Is it all the same village, or does he move from village to village? Always wondered that.

Causton - where the cop shop is - is filmed here in Wallingford, one of the main pubs is filmed a few miles away from here.

I walked into JN when they were filming in Wallingford several weeks back - out trots Piskie from Champions (real old fashioned Hardware store) and smack into JN sorry John, but you had a softer landing that I

Oddly enough this is not my first chest to chest (he isn't very tall) encounter with him - I used to be Office Manager for St. Austell Cornish Guardian newspaper, out runs Piskie to get bacon butties for the troops and smack into JN - he is a St A boy ya'now

So - Frost, how much longer?

I love a real old fashioned hardware store.

No idea about Frost - but I have been watching the Restaurant programme and those two lads make me laugh when they quote Only Fools and Horses at each other. The chef needs to quote 'Don't Panic' at the other one...what a shambles he is - but I think Dad's Army is before his time.

I did touch buttocks with another of your oxford lads, the guitar guy from Radiohead; at one of their intimate gigs years back [before they were famous]. I was walking one way, he was walking the other, and both people in front of us stopped and we both stepped back and buttocks collided [gently].

I suppose, with age discrimination laws he could go on for as long as he is able to...

Piskie - I had a chest to chest with 'Lewis' from Morse! If I had been more alert I would have puckered up and maybe got a sneaky kiss

Watched Frost again on Sunday, for the 1st time in a long while, it was like I'd never been away! I thought the writing wasn't as good as it used to be and he struggled with a pretty awful script, but on the whole it was enjoyable nonsense! Prefer Midsomer though.

Not sure I've had a famous 'chest to chest' with anyone, got druink with Micheal Keating once and had tea at Zaphod Beeblebrox's place.

Something in the news last week when David Jason announced he is retiring from playing Frost.
He'll always be Del Boy to me though.

Next year's series is supposed to be the last Frost.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
