  • Every cloud has a silver lining.

Last night I had a wonderful phone call. Having waited in all day for it - a lovely lady finaly rang me at 8.15pm last night. This lady was the bearer of some quite good news and has made me alot happier.

Who is this lady? She is the consultant, who I assumed that I was no longer under, seeing as how I am now in the unfortunate position of waiting for my angel to get her wings.

What could she say that could possibly make me feel better? She has agreed to look into why I keep losing my angels. In a month (cycle) or so I will go for a full range of tests and then she will see me to discuss. She was very supportive and feels sure there will be another baby for me yet

I feel so much happier knowing that finaly my case will be looked into even more happier that she agrees my thyroid levels will at least not have helped. I just wanted to share this news with my grape family as you have all been so supportive of me through these awful experiences and I would be feeling so low if I didnt have all you.

    Yours in fresh hope,

    Tammy

I think if you have a little girl, the name Faith or Hope will be most apt. Wishing you the very best of luck, and glad you're feeling better.

Oh that IS good news Tammy. After all you've been through, to feel no-one was taking any interest would just put the tin hat on it. I wonder if this lady knows how much happiness and hope she brings?

Blessed would be the right word Jackie. However I did take much note of what my Mother-in-law said at the weekend and will follow her advice now she is not simply TELLING me not to have any more; she said "dont waste time hankering after another, enjoy the two you do have, if another arrives then thats lovely but dont waste you life yearning" I adore my kids and they know it and that is THE most important thing.

I nearly gave her an invitation to the christening should we be blessed! If tests show we would be breaking our heart by trying again then thats all well and good. I think its worse knowing I can carry to full term cos I have before.

Are you gonna tell Hannah she cant call her sister Isobel? - chicken! Maybe lovely for a middle name though. You had any thoughts on names yet?

I'm with Fiona on this. Glad it is good news, but wary of chipping in as a relative newcomer.
KNOWING does help. Being sure it isn't going to work again would be better than the emotional roller-coaster of hoping, and having hope fail (my niece recently decided that Thomas was 'it'. Her problem is diabetes, not insulin dependant, but bad enough to cause everything to go wrong on the baby-front.)
                    Keeping you in my prayers.

You're such an inspiration - takes real spirit to find a silver lining in sad circumstances, and I do respect you for it. So glad that there is some good news in all of this.

From angels come more angels...I'm sure another one will find its way to you and hope that the consultant can help with the directions.

That is good news Tammy. You may find that just having the tests will ease your mind sufficiently for nature to help itself. I worked with someone who had tried for years and had many tests for infertility. She signed up for IVF treatment and found she was pregnant days before the treatment was due to start!
