Oh sorry, one trick which my Uncle (who used to take the #5 bus in Rome a lot - renowned for pickpockets), was to put most of you money into your front pocket of your trousers and close/secure that with a safety pin. Then just put some small change and enough to get a coffee etc (maybe €5 or even up to €20 for convenience) in the top of the pocket. When you need more, you can go to loo and release pin (or even at dinner table depending on how you do it), but it will be sufficient to deter most pickers and you'll still have enough on top to get the basics as you need to.

And split your money between the two of you anyway - each have SOMETHING in case the other loses theirs.

Oooh lucky you. We are hoping to go next week too (if the roof is finished).
Except I will have the dog and three children in tow......

Have a lovely time. We were really lucky we stayed in a hotel overlooking Las Ramblas. Do take the tourist bus it takes you right round the city. Parc Guell is a must, take a picnic. The zoo is good, but please don't go with a hangover like we did, you miss a couple of hours. Barcelona was fantastic, we only had four days there but I would love to go back there, please enjoy it.

I know of someone from here that was in Barcelona earlier this year and was amazed at the Market and the different vegetable varieties available there, he was really impressed with the tomatoes.

Enjoy yourself janeyo and find somewhere safe for your money other than your pockets.
          I love growing tomatoes.

Thanks all - very excited as we are off in the morning. Have made a note of all the suggestions esp the cider places- as OH and I are a bit partial to it (making our own this year too).
