Quick background of last few weeks(Sorry I've just finished writing & realised it is rather an essay!!)~Firstly My Boy had a rather nasty bout of scarlet fever,& due to it not being picked up straight away we had 3 trips to the docs in just a week.It cleared with antibiotics but a week later & we're back as he develloped a nasty rash," days later instead of the rash improving it was totally covering his body & really quite scary! So another trip to the Doctor!!
About 3 weeks later(last Thurs)
& he was absolutely butchered by some midgies at the lottie & his head was covered in bites that he'd scratched at,took him to the chemist as I really couldn't bear the thought of yet another trip to the doc,Unfortunately the pharmacist thought differently & said to get an emergency appointment as he'd reacted really bad to the bites & it was best to get checked out!
As if I wasn't already starting to feel like a neurotic mum constantly at the doctors, over the w/e his slight exzema decided to invade the whole of his face & he also got a rash over his torso, nursery insisted that they'd rather I got it checked before he came back to nursery(just in case the rash wasn't exzema)So hey-ho hey-ho Off to the docs AGAIN!!
Getting him ready for bed last night noticed that the slight exzema on his back is now red raw from what I can only assume is an allergic reaction to the cream the doc just prescribed!!!Feel like sobbing~mainly for him as it just seems to be one thing after another for the little chap, but also starting to get so paranoid re how often we'reat the Doctors!!What really doesn't help is the comments from other mums like"ooh I can't remember the last time we went"or"we only go for emergencies"I'm sure they're well meant but just makes you feel that bit more down about it all!
What gets me the most is both kiddies were Breastfed(for quite a while),boy had no solids til he was 6months,We grow our own & they eat incredibly healthily I just think where the heck have we gone wrong!!
We're trying a dairy free diet for 6 weeks(Andi gets exzema if he has too much of the stuff). If anyone has any tried & tested natural creams that they can reccomend it would be so appreciated!!(he's 4&1/2)
