Hi, Everyone.

I don't really know what to put here, so I'll just ramble....sorry. For the last 13 months or so my life has been truly awful, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong and obviously I'm feeling down. I haven't written about it much here, because this is the place I come to forget it all and have a laugh sometimes. But I have noticed that my posts are starting to show when I'm feeling moody. My friends at home know what has been going on and are making allowances, but I can't expect that of you lot - actually I can't expect it of them for much longer. So, for that reason I'm going to have a week or two off from the forum as I'm really worried that I'm going to seriously offend someone and I'd hate to do that. I do try to be a nice person and I know that I'm not always successful, but these last few weeks I've found it really difficult. I'm approaching the anniversary of something bad, so it's probably best that I keep my head down until it has passed.
Can I just say that if I have already upset any of you, I sincerely apologize.

gawd blimey lass! I haven't noticed you being rude/offensive or anything remotely like it - is it more a case of you feel you are but we don't?

Whatever is causing you grief I hope it b**gers off soon - don't be gone too long - we are a good group and the help/advice/kind words here are second to none.

If you want to talk about it do - if you don't don't, we all handle life situations in different ways.

I was going to 2nd Piskies thoughts,but now I'll have to offer 4th!!
There's times I worry that my words may get lost in translation & either offend or just simply come across totally not as I've intended,but as those before me have said it's a great bunch here & I'm sure no-one has felt offended by your words,I've certainly never picked up anything remotely negative from your posts(in fact quite the contrary!!)
I guess as with everything in life,this forum business has it's ups & downs,the up being the positive support & general good company,the down being that it's not always easy to get across exactly what you want when not face to face!

Sorry to hear that things haven't been good for you. I'm willing to bet that 2009 can't come along quickly enough for many of us on here.

I don't remember you ever being rude or even short on here so I wouldn't worry about that. As has already been said - hurry back but only when you're ready (doesn't make sense does it but you know what I mean)

Tell you what: start yourself a 'Visual Board'. My friend Rachael got me onto it, and I reckon it works a treat?

What you do is to find yourself a cork board, noticeboard or fridge door or something. Then you cut out/choose pictures of nice stuff that you'd really like in your life, like a Happy Face, or a posh car, or a new house, or a handsome bloke, or a .... whatever you want really, and you pin them to the board, or magnet them to the fridge door. As many pictures as you want of really important things to you and your life.

Every day, you look at this board, appreciating all the lovely things as if you already had them in your life, and how happy they make you feel.
I'm not kidding you, they actually do come into your life in some form or other.

It is SUCH a fun and positive thing to do.

If you don't want to talk about it, I totally understand, but as they say 'a problem shared is a problem halved' so feel free to let it all out. As for being short with people on here, I haven't noticed it at all, and I know a lot of people have benefited from your kind words

Bluemoon, your down mood is obviously affecting you badly but I can add my assurance to everyone else's that it hasn't be passed on to anyone here. There's never been a single post where I've thought 'Oh, what's got into her?' - you are a cracking member of this forum. I do understand you might feel like a break from us but certainly don't feel you have to go for our sake. If you just want to read and not post, I'm sure you'll find something to cheer you and cause a laugh. I wouldn't be without the friends on here.

Take care of yourself and do what is best for you - but I hope we have you back with us very soon.

I haven't noticed any moody posts, either BM. I've had a few minor problems myself and have the same paranoia, but so far no-one has said anything. No way I could go cold turkey for weeks at a time, though! This is the only forum I go on where I'm not reading about someone or other being offended, constantly. We're a grown up lot, I think, so post away!
