my kitten has just opened the living room door herself for the very first time there were lots of legs,whiskers and ears peeking round the door for at least 10 minutes and the occasional upside down tail ........ but shes now looking very pleased with herself

Gosh- that was pretty quick for her to learn how to do that!!!

Bet it takes you a lot longer to teach her how to shut it though

One of our cats is left handed its really funny watching him try to open doors.

lol, thats funny, i used to have the same giggle watching my son open tins and use scissors

Most of the time he just sits there looking at us as if to say come on open the b####y door.

When my freddy was a kitten he tried to open doors by getting his paw in the gap then pulling it towards him, squashing his paw and banging his nose in the process.

I decided i dint want extra vet bills so tried to teach him how to push... he always gave up and tried to dig down through the carpet, i just leave the doors open wide enough now.

Saves on carpet and paws.

hmmmm she used to do that piskie ....... it's magic innit ..... i've so far left the door open just slightly less than how wide her head is ...... but she just looked and yowled pathetically, till it magically opened, ...... thankfully i haven't got carpets in the hall, so she can't destroy that ....... anyway it's cold now so i've been pushing the door to, otherwise all the heat escapes ..... i think she must have been watching asbo and poppy
