Just a heads up, was sent this by email and thought i would pass it on for info.

    Subject: Post Scam.

May want to circulate this around especially as Christmas is fast approaching - it has been confirmed by Royal Mail. The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number). DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize .

If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £15 for the phone call.

    Please advise family members/Friends.

This one has been going on since 2005, this is an email scam now, rather than a phone scam. I think the most you can be charged on a phone line is £1.50.

This link tells you all about it. PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) Premium Rate Scam Warning

        Thanks for the warning Kernowyon.
And everybody note - although I'm sure you're all quite savvy - since the declared Credit Crunch I've been inundated with bogus e mails from several banks saying I have to update my security details to keep my bank accounts operating.
I've alerted the banks concerned but they just say don't reply to the emails and delete the messages.
Surely they must be able to trace the originators of these messages.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

My mate got mail the other day telling her that a company she'd bought shares in was collapsing & if she sent them her bank details then they would forward any money accumalated!!~She's never in her life bought shares of any description!!

I got a text message the other day for an international parcel. Set up a delivery time and everything with a machine. Parcel never came but I expect my mobile bill will see the difference. :-(
