I'm smiling now as we are having leek and courgette pasta for tea, and I've just lit the wood burner for the first time since last winter...scrummy and warm.
My fave left overs are mash on toast with cheese and pop under the grill - or curry on toast.
when my friend Becca was dancing in the middle of the playground
I also smiled when Becca started going up to people and telling them to that she was an alien and came in peace, and asking them to hug her.
Yeah shes pretty weird
Stacey, i like your friend Becca. Our young lady [11 and a half] had a friend called Monika who used to bark regularly and thought she was a dog. She was great.
I just wanted to add another smile, as I've just popped out to the garden, and my chives, garlic chives and red chicory have come up today from seed. I'm glad something likes the cold! I'm staying with the oven and the wood burner thanks.

I smile lots
Your friend Becca should watch the film Martian Child.
Not smiled much as it's blinkin' freezing but I did smile at the gorilla pic. Wayne & the stories on here (especially Lynda's litlle old lady knickers!). Cheered up a bit at lunch as I decided to be naughty & go to the chippy & have a fish & mushy peas, lovely, piping hot , just out of the fryer!
Well, this thread has certainly made me smile. Also, my most un-phone-user-friendly friend just tried to text me to invite me for a quick birthday drink with her after work, then had to ring and leave a message on my answerphone (I'm not allowed to use my phone in work) explaining the text cos it was gobbldy gook! So, that itself gave me a giggle and now I have an unexpected quick celebration to go home to ....
Happy Wednesday to all ....
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

I always find sending a text to a landline makes me smile - especially when you use an unfamiliar word or someones name. Try it, you'll smile.
Just remembered something that made me smile quite a lot the other day. One of teh ladies that LadyWayne works with is also pregnant, and the discussion about babies being able to hear in the womb came up. The lady in question asked "does the baby hear through my ears?"

First time I got a text via landline was from one of my nephews playing a prank....."I know who you are...I know where you live....I'm coming to get you.."!!!As I didn't recognise the number & had never experienced a text to landline...deffo didn't make me smile!!...Needless to say he had a rather huge telling off & I spent the day strategically placing objects to use in my self defence all around the house.
Tis quite a scary voice!!
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx
HeyWayne, my god you read my mind. After I posted yesterday re - have a good day everyone' and you replied I was thinking about starting a 'pass it on' a smile that is thread! Something permanent with people to add what made them smile that day! Off to do it now!

I did mention having a Wednesday smile thread once a week last week. Any excuse to make people smile is good to me.
I love this forum, it's the electronic equivalent of lighting the fire and pouring a glass of wine (which we've also done!)
I'm smiling at a friend of mine who whilst in mid-rant abou the Ross/Brand fiasco pointed out the insane telephone number that is Ross's salary and followed it up with "and I bet he votes Tory"
i'm smiling now, i've just been to pick up a baby bath for the ducks and been offered a playpen for the chicks to go in till they get bigger, and she's delivering it tomorrow and someone posted a wanted on freecycle for a radiator, and i just happened to have one in my utility room so a smile for me and a smile cos someone else is smiling cos i could help them too
