Lynda your knickers reminded me that last week whilst on holiday I forgot to pack my knickers very unusual for me so I had to wash the one pair I did have every night and put them on the little heater in the shower to dry for the next day. We were staying in a caravan in cornwall went to the shops in helston and couldnt find any the one shop that had some that I like didnt have my size and I wasnt going to get size 20 !!!
Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
and ends with backache
Well we've had a rubbish half term week so far, poor George has had an upset tummy since Sunday so we've been stuck in quarantine! Day 4 today. But this thread and you lovely lot have made me smile so thank you!
Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.
that reminds me of when i was in hospital, i'd had a hysterectomy, and was due to go home ..... it was then that i realised all my knickers stopped just on the scar ...... what to do now ...... well there was a little old lady opposite, she had bought plenty of new knickers to come in hospital with ....... and she gave me a lovely pair, with 'PINK' flowers that came up to my belly button, bless her ........ it was an emergency though
I'm grinning because I cooked jacket spuds last night, but couldn't eat all mine so i put it in the fridge; it's now in the oven heating up nicely for my breakfast.
No snow but what a lovely bright morning.
Oh I LOVE left overs for breakfast. Himself thinks it's a rum idea but left over Chinese is best, followed by left over pizza, then potato in any form. Golly, I'm hungry again!

MY BIL just loves leftover curry for breakfast!

So, I'm not the only one who has last night's left-overs for breakfast(curry this morning!)
What has made me smile today is that Jim has said yes, I can have the Deerhound puppy I've set my heart on. (I think it's made him smile too!)
I'm with you on that!! ( I always order a bit more - just in case everyone is starving...and if we have an unexpected guest.....and just in case there's not enough special fried rice..and....oh well, lets be honest here...I actually need to ensure there are some left overs for my breakfast)

How fantastic!!!
OH's parents have had 4 deerhounds and 2 wolfhounds over the years, and we love babysitting them. Get ready for them to lean on you when you stop for a natter whilst taking them for a walk!!

Congratulations!! We bred Deerhounds once - 12 puppies (we had a foster mum for some so we could keep them all). Aranthos (elder son) has fond memories of the one we kept who was his constant companion through toddlerhood and early childhood.
What made me smile this morning? Waking up to find the kitty was still snuggled up in my armpit, where I last saw him when I woke in the night. Then I went to give the boys some hay as snow was all around and there were two little puffballs with hooves waiting for me at the field. I do like that about winter - fuzzy ponies!
Oooh Irie Jan, I too work for the Met (Staff, not police). Good luck to your daughter and partner. I met a lady on a course once who worked at doggy training school and it sounded such fun - esp with the puppies! Unfortunately I live too far away. That, and the fact that I am scared of dogs over 1 foot high kinda scuppers that as a career for me.
It's a good job i'm not scared of dogs, other wise I would not be able to visit my daughter! lol It is a bit of a mare when she comes to see me though because she normally brings the dog as well! I have to put my 5 cats out or shut them in one of the bedrooms which the do not like! My lot were not bought up with dogs so don't like it when he visits LOL
