Hey Beefy....always wondered......do truck ferry prices vary as much as car prices??? ( or is there a set rate - or does it change depending if it's weekend or if the truck is empty or loaded?????)

We used to cross using Norfolk Line which is primarily for trucks and it was always much cheaper than any of the others that is until, we had a very bad crossing and KK was so sick that, after that he vowed to use the Tunnel every time.
We have just been to UK for a visit too and it cost us almost £1000. OK so we bought stuff whilst we were there but it still takes a big lump out of our savings every time we go.

It depends on how many trucks you own + how often you cross . A big company with say 500 trucks and 1500 trailers will get a better rate than say a small company with 10 trucks and 20 trailers . As an example we have around 10 trucks and 10 trailers and can ship across the Irish sea one way truck + trailer +driver(free meal for the driver)for (give or take £20) around £150. Some of the larger companies will be getting the same for less than £100 some will be considerably less. One company I know for a fact gets it's empty trailers shipped for free where it would cost us £90 - but we only make 8-10 sailings a day they probably ship 400 loaded trailers a day. It's all about size and volume . No smuuty jokes now.
