allotment taken away - conclusion (of sorts) post 668 onwards
Council deputy leader Len Foster said: "As a goodwill gesture, I'm prepared to offer the allotment back to those affected, and we are now in the process of contacting these people."
Typical mealy-mouthed reply from the Council! 'Goodwill' gesture, b*ll*cks!!! They were utterly in the wrong, the pompous self-righteous numpty's. I hope the electorate is watching the way they deal with this error.
To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower
Thinking of compensation for Tricky's loss, it may be that he has to write a letter to the Council to put it in writing formally? I know when I temporarily worked for Derby CC Highways Dept there was Council insurance cover for people writing in about recompense for 'loss' due to inadequate pavements/roads?

absolutely!! thing is we have done as much as we can from here for now, until we get word from tricky as to what has actually been offered if anything, cos we don't want to put a spanner in the works.
i would also like to know it the TV thing is still going ahead?

contacting these people......did the council do this to more than tricky in this instance, or is he referring to past issue...such as murphys law i wonder?
if you can see it there is an email address for you to respond to the piece if you so wish, rather than post on the web.
Tricky did point out when he sent me this, that he has yet to actually hear anything from the council (typical) and all he knows is what the paper told him.

probably an admin error.
Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.

Is there more to this than the council is letting on? The bloke from the council talks of people affected in plural and the final paragraph is odd (and totally out of order!!!)
"So there is a condition attached, that they must maintain the allotments and be subject to the usual inspections.
And if we find that they continue to flout the regulations, we won't hesitate to take them back"!

well we know it had happened to other people on that site, so maybe there is more than one....or cynic that i am bearing in mind him covering his backside in the last part, maybe he is not actually really aware of Tricky's name and individual case, just rushing out a comment to limit damage.
in a way he is correct though, they were contemplating taking tricky's allotment away, however if they had followed procedure, Tricky would have had right to reply and time to correct, so it is unfair to say he was in anyway flouting the rules of the allotment, if the letter had gone out, it should have been a warning letter, so it does not mean he would have lost his allotment at all.
tricky if i was you when you get your plot back - start an on line blog of what you do even if it's monthly so you have proof if this should ever happen again, as it sounds like they might try it again after we have all gone quite.
