When our plots changed hands, the old plot holders had a week to remove any of their items.

I don't fully understand the council worker bit? Are you saying your plot has been taken from you, and given to someone who works for the council?

That exactly what i am saying two sheds
Went to my alotment yesterday at 2.45pm ,found my allotment ploughed up
litterally half an hour before.Found the tractor man who told me who had
            authourised it.
Rang him , he said somebody else has been allocated it ,my plot was full of produce
The at night about 6pm i was packing my tools together and burning rubbish including
my brand new shed ,a woman and a man came who had a high visibility jacket on
with north Lincolnshire council on it . She told me she had been issued with the plot
two weeks ago , it was her shed and tools.
I received no warning whatsoever .Today they admitted not sending me any warnings
and alocating the plot two weeks ago to a council worker

How long have/had you had the allotment Tricky? And were you paid up for the season?

Go for it Tricky. They can't just take over. If your rent was paid up and you were not contravening any of the site rules they can't get rid of you. I also believe they have to give you written notice if they are considering revoking your tenancy and have to give the reasons why. Sod the local paper, go national. Good luck.

This is awful, surely a mistake, they cant do that. Hope you get it sorted out soon and get some compensation, and your plot back.

If you have a tenancy agreement, it should set out the procedure for evicting a tenant from an allotment. If you have met the conditions (paid rent, cultivated plot etc) then I can't see any reason why you should lose your plot. Not sure how you go about being 'compensated' for the loss of produce though.

Can't believe that they could do that. Good luck in getting it sorted!

in support of you tricky, wonder whose head is for the chopping block, bet they all blaming someone else, what reason did they give for wanting you of,or have they got the wrong plot in the first place.
What a cheek of the supposed new tenant,i thought anyone vaccating a plot, for what ever reason, has a right to their own shed and tools, what a nerve, wishing you all the best, please let us know how thing go.
