Happy to see this is still going strong, I would like to advise that after the weekend we start emailing the necessary people asking what is being done, see how long this thread is by then and try to get all the relevant contact details in one post on monday, with the names and postions of the people they belong to?
councillors, council department, allotment assc. etc.

I am appalled that this has happened. I've sometimes got the feeling on our site that your face needs to fit with our site rep but nothing like this has ever happened, to my knowledge. Have added my comment to newspaper article. I think as someone suggested earlier the likes of Hugh thingy or Jamie Oliver may be supportive of you, or GYO.

Did anyone see the film "Grow Your Own"? Doesn't this situation seem similar? Pity there's no-one there to give Mr. Big a good punch on the nose!!
Also a pity you don't live near, Tricky, you could have a bit of my garden, it's big enough.

Was that the film where they put a telephone mast on one of the plots at night? Great film if it its the same one.

Shame we're not all a bit closer to Tricky - we could stage a protest at the coucil offices/allotments.

This also makes me realise how lucky we are on our site, so long as your face fits but its not too bad. When I wasn't able to do as much as planned cos of being ill and some family problems once I explained I was left alone, and helped a bit with the clearing. (My face must fit)

i was just wondering,now things have gone so far with our depths of feeling,how do we stand with the vine,is it agreeable with the modes and higher ups,as if it comes out that most of the comments are from this site,only we don't want to cause any embarasement for them do we,or am i up the wrong tree.
