ermmmm..........i have sent an email to the Editor of the paper.
hope this is ok.....
To the Editor of the Scunthorpe Telegraph,
I have been following the reports on Mr Baxters plight with the North Lincolnshire Council over his allotment. Your paper ran a story last week stating Mr Baxter had had his plot returned to him, however this appears not to be the case. Mr Baxter has informed his supportors he has been offered 2nd place on the waiting list.
I am wondering if you plan on following up this story.....why was your reporter told one thing by the council, and Mr Baxter another?. There are alot of allotment holders around the country following this story, as we are all at the whim of the council or parish we rent our allotments off.
I would be grateful for a reply letting me know if you plan on following up on this story, and what date.
Yours Sincerely,
Ms R Pine.

One of them has left a comment on that story and I would describe it as neutral at best.
Tricky, those pictures you posted, are those before you lost your plot or after?Last edited by pdblake; 18-11-2008, 10:07 AM.

So none are just prior to the ploughing?
And you're right, those other plots do look a bit of a state, but are they occupied anymore? Just that the one next to yours looks well tended in the first pic, but not in the later ones.
Only asking as, if they were unoccupied, can't see why they would pick on just you.

Tricky, so sorry to hear about the way the council is treating you. They obviously like to look after their own and sod everyone else.
As the council didn`t go about evicting you properly, (even though by the looks of your photos, they had no grounds to,) they should give you your original plot back, put your shed back up and give you enough plants, seeds and tools to get your plot back up and running.
If not as you have paid up until next April any produce which is on the plot should be yours.
Local govenment think they can walk all over us ordinary hard working people who pay their over-inflated wages and pensions.Last edited by sharonr; 18-11-2008, 08:21 PM.I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

What a fake mr baxter is
well let me tell u all something i think mr baxter has been telling you all lies here as i have 2 allotments on that same site that mr baxter lost his from he DIDNT have a whole load of crops on there hes had only cultivated about a quater of his plot that measures approx 25foot long by 13 feet wide and yes he did have weeds on there and no he didnt attend his plot on a regular basis like he makes out and nor can i understand why hes trying to screw the council for a new shed and crops as i know he didnt have that much planted on there he will not get a lot of support either from other allotment holders there as some are totally disgusted with the state he left the allotment in
