Why is it men will sit flicking channels, for over an hour, then decide they need something (that hasn't been seen since last winter) 2 mins before it's time to leave the house?

So its not just me then!?
OH lounges in bed "asleep" until 7:30, then gets up and makes a huge fuss about doing last nights dishes "properly" then ambles off to the shower...meanwhile I have got up, got the children up, fed them, grabbed a cup of coffee for myself, made the sandwiches, got the children dressed and ready for school, got myself dressed, made sure all the homework books and reading books are ready to go, got the children to put their shoes and coats on and get out of the door by 8:30...he's still plodding along, needing help finding things that he put down somewhere the night before and complaining that he's going to be late for work!
I love him to bits, but there are times

Wahoo; men eh???
I always pre-empt the 'it's your fault'' thing these days by saying 'I suppose it will be my fault that you've lost your wallet/keys/season ticket/ad infinitum' long before he blurts it out. I do usually find it for him though as it's obviously in his coat pocket or in the back of a drawer or fallen down the bedside table. Him and his daughter just expect to want something and it pops out of the ether into their hands.
I now either get up before him and out the door [if I've got a meeting] or stay in bed until he's gone to work. The joys of working from home. But on the weekends, the season ticket delight is always waiting for me!
It was even my fault when he left his keys at work [he cycles to work most of the time now so doesn't need them for the car], and they were in his drawer when he got there. Silly me!!!Last edited by zazen999; 30-10-2008, 08:31 AM.

my oh is exactly the same, and will refuse to go to work till found as he currently the only wage earner and im pregnant the stress is not nice and its always my fault, he had them not me, like i have a crytle ball! its made worse by the fact he has OCD which is obsessive compulsive disorder, which takes the form of everything being tidyed away, can i have i here you ask. (if you want as beleive me its not as great as it sounds) he tidys away but cant remeber where you then have to look for it, when you have friends round hes constantly tidying under there feet, the costers have to be all turned facing a certain way as there shaped, beds have to be perfectly made, when you was his trousers its full of bits the hoover missed. im also expected to drop everything im doing if he spots something thats not tidy enough and he thinks its my turn, then moans its not good enough then moans i havent got the jobs i had to abandon before done, hes always stropping and banging doors as well, this is just some of the things heres many i havent mentioned, if i did and read it back justifyable homicide might happen, however the marriage produced a beautiful daughter and one on the way and he occasional has a few good points (dont watch football or sport) all the best pc
