I'll be making puddings this afternoon They won't be traditional puds though as none of us like them, but gorgeous rich chocolate pudding, which freeze really well I usually put a couple of sixpences in for luck, but they're pre-wrapped in tin-foil!
I've got 4 Christmas cakes to make too, plus jars of mincemeat. Not forgetting the usual Mt Everest of washing to get through... Think I'd better start on the coffee!
Strange- when I've Googled the date it's come up with today and next Sunday!..I'm presuming today is the day folks!
I've actually bought our pudding- but have decided to enter into the spirit of things and an going to give the pudding a shake....now I know it's East to West - but is that clockwise or anticlockwise??????
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Well that's it - 3 puddings, 4 Christmas cakes and 4 jars of mincemeat made. And enough washing done that we can all get dressed in the morning
Well done you! I was going to make puddings but didn't have any brandy - read that the fruit should have been soaked since yesterday and decided not to bother till next weekend!
Made mine last week. It smells grgeous. Well, I had to do something when the plasteres were in all day - couldn't go out so I got steaming for 6 hours (the pudding, not me !)
Made mine last week also, it's wrapped up in the back of the larder cupboard now ready to take to the mother in law's for Christmas Day.
Cake's done also although about a month later than planned - problem is that I can only cook it at weekends as it takes so long and have had to sit up into the night far too many times waiting for the stupid thing to cook - puddings are much easier as I do them overnight in the slow cooker.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
