They say that women try to find a carbon copy of their Fathers in their Husband. I wasn't looking for that at all, But I am eternally grateful because that is what I got.
      Do it! Life's too short

For having all the senses to experience the world, and the legs to carry my around it.

Oh, and for the love of LadyWayne and the Bean she's carrying.

... and for waking up next to a marginally less happy miserable git, obviously?

I am truly grateful that it is chucking it down, so that I have a 'genuine' reason not to take the children on the halloween treasure hunt this evening......

Wife , Kids , Parents , Mother in law (honest), Father in law,all my close relations -brother in laws , wifes sisters . We all get on like a house on fire - all except me and my brother and his wife but that just goes to prove you can choose your friends but not your family.
                          A job or 2 -
Gardening - not exactly the love of my life but it pays the bills and gets me home at night
Driving - it's what i really love doing but with 2 kids and a wife you have to draw the line and do the decent thing and be at home for them.

Last but not least not seeing my name in the local rag obituary

Life is what you make it - I try to make it funny.
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

There are so many things to be thankful for - sometimes we overlook little things but a small kindness can make our day.

I reckon it would be a good exercise to end each day with a few minutes thinking of the good parts of the day and what we're thankful for.

Sorry if that sounds preachy, but it's just that this thread has got me thinking!

Mainly my two wonderful kiddies!!.....& I guess Andi!!
Also for being born in a country where "hardship"means turning the dial down on the central heating or cutting back on Christmas pressies,as opposed to fighting your way through crowds of people(child on your shoulders),risking life or limb just to get a small amount of food to help you through a night spent under the stars!!
