It certainly is. I don't know quite what makes Vine people so special? Peer pressure? Great moderators?

I used to dip into other forums ... but what a vile bunch of idiots there are posting on them, completely ruining them. People say things online they would never dare to say to your face.

I'm a newbie, I joined a few months ago because we were thinking of keeping chickens.

Thanks to some very sound advice, help and support from people on here, that thought has become four little clucking bits of reality. Which reminds me, it's pop-hole openingn time

So do I Maureen. I think some people have the impression I'm ALWAYS on the vine, but I do go out - garden, elderly Ma's, even shopping when I can't avoid it any longer! But as soon as I come in, the kettle goes on then the computer does.

( at least apply, they don't have to know whether you take one or not )

I now have a laptop and sit chatting to 'my imaginary friends' (OH's name, not mine), whilst watching TV and when I should be gardening - the memory only lasts 2 hours though, so trips to the lottie would have to be monitored carefully. I've just disovered that my local Age Concern have a lottie where they grow veg for the Age Concern cafe, I will try to volunteer there and make it a half way house. Did I mention that I work in an Age Concern shop on Tuesdays - do I win a prize for product placement.

PS When I say the memory only lasts 2 hours, you probably know what I mean, the laptop not mine ....

I've become very attached to my 'imaginary friends'! But work is seriously interfering with my Vine time - I'm considering asking for a consultation with our Health Unit to discuss my 'work/life balance'
