Just been catching up on this thread & can say at the moment I belong in the 'whingers' category as feeling really poorly & yes along with Piskie & all the others 'too old' to wear a hoody (ie?) & Happybunny who is of an age when it's compulsory to wear one, I too am wearing mine at the moment along with a pair of knackered tracky bottoms as they're keeping me warm & I finally changed out of my pyjamas. I think the vine is great & even if people do occasionally have disagreements on the whole we manage to get over it & rub along fine together, long may it continue!

can't believe I've been here over three year and it feels like yesterday.
Have made loads of friends but only ever met one due to the fact I live so far away from everyone.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Sorry you were feeling sad Phil. With potentially 25,000 of us, you're more likely to feel totally overwhelmed! It's a bit rubbish to be sad at this time of the year with so much forced jollity about.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

We'd have twice as many if we didn't delete all the potential spammers....

It would still be interesting to know how many of those 25000 (or whatever) members are actually members who log on and read stuff (even if they don't post much) as oppose to a large number who joined and never came back.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Gosh! You are making me feel old! I can't remember when I joined, think it was about May 2006??? Yes, I know you'll all be able to see on my details, but I can't see it right now.
All I would like to say is, the Grapevine is a fantastic place to meet lots of fantastic people - always has been, and methinks, always will be. Throughout 2009 I have met numerous grapes in person, who have become close friends, and will remain so.
There are lots of you Grapes out there who are very special people - you know who you are, and I would just like to add my own personal thanks to you all in helping a certain grape who is feeling under the weather at the moment.
Lecture finished!
Thanks for reading guys and gals.
