I got courgette and the packet looked like it had been previously stuck to another magazine - how green of them, recycling at its best (and cheapest for them!)
I buy mine in the shops and as of yesterday no sign of any mags, one day when I can afford it I will subscribe.
JAckie, there's an ad in the middle of November's issue advertising annual subscriptions as Christmas pressies. This is a saving of 23% I think it was, compared to the normal GYO subscription (advertised towards the back of the same issue!) which saves 10% or similar over 6 months. I'm buying it as a pressie to myself!

the back of my packet says it is from the 'Lets grow veg' magazine, i think these were the giveaways on the 'specials'. not complaining though free seeds are a real bonus

I'm pretty sure I got cabbage of some description. I'll happily let someone else have them - not a big fan of growing cabbages - slugs and caterpillers favourites in my experience.
I decided GYO have a warped sense of humour cause I got Courgettes - green bush same as my 25 plants this year. No I will not be using them.
Foxhillgardener - I found slugs didn't touch my lollo rosso just ate the green letuuces next to them
