Ok - so having discussed the free seeds of many varieties! - is anyone going to have a go at early tomatoes as described?

Want to swap? I have been trying to grow courgettes for 3 years now and have harvested a total of 4! We don't eat much lettuce here and I have loads of packets of lettuce seeds (lost somewhere since Madmax cleared up the shed) so don't really need the free pack

If you buy it every month Jackie, it actually works out cheaper to subscribe. Plus, it's lovely getting it through the letter box. Check out the special deals.

so I'll need some sacrificial green lettuce then. I keep reading that red lettuce are less prone to slug damage than green, but maybe you need both side by side to give them the choice
