It's all down to the training.....

Mrs A has trained me to perfection over years - tea and coffee just as she likes it every time - but if I don't do it her way - she knows immediately.

Now I've grown to like it her way - so it's easier to make both the same way.

    Peace in the household.

My OH doesnt drink tea or coffee so thats his excuse, he has made it once or twice for me and yuk wouldnt want him to now I tipped it down the sink when he wasnt looking !!! I have even left it ready for him to pour water and milk in so that daughter could bring it up on mothers day and it was cold and horrible.
My sister used to make herself one whilst her OH was fetching their daughter from school and drink it before he got back, even when she was very Ill the s*****g never made her a cup.

He's not a long lost relation of Mr F is he? He NEVER feels sufficiently thirsty to make one - unless I outright request it. (Then he's often 'busy'!)

I boil water to make a cup of tea for myself when OH is out doing things in the shed (it's raining, for example, so I'm not going to go and ask him if he wants one). Then I turn around to do something else for a couple of minutes and he comes in and makes a cuppa with the water that I boiled, without wondering why the water in the kettle was hot already, and without asking me if I want one!! Aaaaaah!

Jackie, that is heartbreaking. However I am a firm believer in what goes round, comes around. One day he'll get his.

Mr Sheds will make himself a Cuppa Soup - but not make me a coffee at the same time.
yet if I get myself a drink and not one for him ...

How much effort is it, really ?

A box of tea bags will last about 6 months to a year in our house, we just don't drink it. I have 1-2 cups every week or so. Coffee is about once every 3-4 months. We buy 1 bag of sugar about once a year.

People often think it's weird when we tell them we don't have biscuits (we only buy them for guests).

Have you thought about making yourself a cuppa, then leaving him the used bag to make his - citing the credit crunch as a reason?
