Solution;
Sweep them up - I intended to do this on Saturday before our firework party, mainly so our guests would go AOT/slipping on them. I was surprised and delighted that DH beat me to it.
HOWEVER...
Daniel had fallen asleep in the car on the way home today so I decided to let him sleep a bit longer in the car on the driveway and take the opportunity as the rain had eased to sweep up the next lot that had fallen since Saturday. Could I find the broom - NO - grrrr Should have been on the patio under our covered way but not there. I looked in the shed, greenhouse etc and getting more and more irritated I rang DH but still couldnt find it after he swore it was in the shed. He said that he had to put it in the shed so it wouldnt get wet (wont get wet under the covered way either but MEN!!) so I replied "What as wet as the rake leaning against the front fence"!!!!
Anyway in the end I gave up looking and woke Daniel instead to bring him in the warm. He soon bought a smile to my face as he sleepily said "Is it morning" - arr bless! Am grinning now!

P.S. Know its been raining heavily as the bottom of our village (we are in a valley with an underwater stream through the middle) has flooded!
