A friend of mine has been thinking of getting someone to do her Ironing for a while, as she cant keep up with it having three daughters, so she asked me a while ago and I said yes, she has finally decided to go ahead with it as her mortgage has come down so can afford me. So I start tomorrow and although I hate Ironing its a job and she will probably want me to do some cleaning as well. The Ironing is a priority though at the moment.

theres a woman in our area, collects your washing and irons it, then brings it back all neatly folded ...... apparently she is very busy ...... maybe a small business opportunity for you

I had a job ironing for my uncles family when i was preggers and needed some extra pennies. 2 adults and 4 kids worth of clothes - it took flippin ages!! Eight years on and the only thing i iron now is my daughters school uniform!

Is there not something in the shape of a giant flat iron, hinged at the back and with a handle at the front which does it for you a lot faster?

That reminds me I must get a few coals out the fire for wor lasses flat iron!

Good news Jackie I hate ironing, but I think if someone was paying me money for it I might like it a bit more

3 hours of Ironing done still loads to do and by next week even more as Its only for 1 day a week Also had to let the dog into the enclosed back garden to do his business and shut him in the kitchen, he is a very excitable 8month old golden retriever pup. She even pays someone to walk him. Why have a dog if you havent got time for walkies.

Maybe when he has quietened down a bit !!! I wouldnt be able to control him !!! her neighbour does it 3 or four times a week and only gets a tenner !!!

I HATE ironing - my OH does it all!! Thank goodness, I'd pull my nails out by the roots before I'd iron!! Although, I HATE wrinkly clothes!!

I dont like Ironing either and I never thought I would end up being paid to do someone eles's. I ironed a load of OH's shirts yesterday and this morning he Ironed one himself cos he didnt notice, wonder how long it will take him cos I'm not telling him
