I agree with Lynda66, Hallelujah is a beautiful yet haunting song. My first memories of the song was the rendition played during a very sensational scene in The West Wing.

Sadly when my mum died I wanted this played at her funeral and despite sending a CD with the song on my brother ignored my request, so now it has a personal memory for me as well.

My other favourite is Who Wants to Live Forever by Queen - also played during the Highlander movie, another moving scene.
I'm new to veggies, but trying !

Two Little Boys brings back such happy memories for me. It was no 1 in the charts when my beautiful daughter Jennifer was born. We had waited 5 years to become parents and when i hear it played i can recall the joy of that day.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Songs that make me cry. Well i have had really first hand experience of this very recently. My mother is 90 and has been a nursinghome since Feb. of this year. She is very psychotic and thinks everyone is talking about her. We can no longer have her watch T.V. as it upsets her so much. As she loves music so much she was always saying she would love to hear the old songs again. Well last week i sat down at the computer and downloaded a good selection, burned them on to a CD and brought it to the nursing home and played it for her. She was over the moon but i will never be able to listen to any of those songs again without breaking my heart.
Her favourites being, Pal of my Cradle Days, The Spinning Wheel, After the Ball Was Over, If Those Lips Could Only Speak, You'll never miss your mothers love. and lots of other sad sentmiental songs from her era. Such a horrible desease.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
