Morning
I'm managing to get on ok. Last night had to log in twice but that's all. Using my phone.
We had rajn from 6o'clock til an hour ago . Not heavy, more heavy drizzle but everywhere got a water. Very little in bucket.
A wet breezy and cooler dog walk done already.
OH taking car for mot and calling at b&q (list given), I shall do boring housework . This afternoon I plan to sow seeds if it isnt too windy.
Have a good day
Good morning. It's very overcast here but only speckling raindrops. I can see them pling in the birdbath but not enough even to dampen the slabs. we often don't get rain when all around is wet. Usually that's a happy, but now the flower garden is so dry everything is rushing through it's season and going to seed.
Well...I finally decided to make those oat biscuits. Not made them for a couple of years and I recalled last time I put some ginger in with the mix too...oh yum!
strangely there only appear to be 6 left

I'm struggling to open threads or like things this morning, nice that this one just opened on the last post rather than the first, so you can see some changes are happening. Stay safe all, be back later.
Mornin n'alln'all
.....more rain overnight!
Only light rain but the stuff which soaks in without damaging plants.
Warm damp smell to the air-the memories of childhood camping eh?
Not sure what today will bring but I'll have a brew then see if OH needs a hand with anything first.
Anyone care to join me?
Today's breakfast will be stewed apricots and homemade yogurt followed by homemade bread with homemade blueberry jam.
Mmmm

Morning All. Count me in Nicos
Not raining at the moment but is forecast for later, everything was well soaked yesterday but it needed it. Be interesting to see if the slug nematodes have made a noticeable difference on the plot, rain usually brings them out.
My new manure fork arrived yesterday so no doubt give it a road test on the compost today.
Morning
Breakfast sounds good Nicos.
Enjoy your folk MrB.
Showers yesterday and again overnight, more for this afternoon.
I've got my bloods debacle today. Stay in car until nurse appears in full ppe to escort me in , to be sanitized and handed ppe. Not allowed to the hospital it's to be at one of the surgeries (further away than hospital).
Will drop some bits off for mum I got on my online shop and hopefully finish building her garden furniture. Wanted to finish painting inside the summerhouse but the paint is out of stock.
Have a good day, better walk these dogs
Morning all.
I've been watching the blackbird who is trying to build a nest between the fence and the trellis with clematis on it. As she brings each beakful (and she's been at it for three days now) and adds it to the construction, the whole thing sinks down a little further as there is nothing to support the nest underneath. The fence rail is about eighteen inches below. So every time she adds, the nest gets deeper.
I've been out today and pushed some short lengths of cane crisscross through the trellis under the nest to see if that will support it, otherwise she'll keep adding stuff until the whole thing drops out of the bottom of the trellis. She's obviously quite desperate to get it built, she works practically non-stop all day.
Morning all, we have dry at the moment but the soil is still wet from last nights rain, overnight temperatures dropped to single figures, but everything looks ok, forecast is for more rain, lots of it over the weekend, so that will fill all the water butts and hopefully green up the lawns a bit. Stay safe all and enjoy the day.
Good morning all.
Dull and cold here but still waiting for rain.
Temp was quite low overnight but all, seems well.
Domestics this morning and perhaps the weather will be better un the afternoon.
Have a good all and stay safe,
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
