Good morning all.
We got all that rain overnight, my front garden was flooded.
Rain has stopped now and the sun is out.
I may have to venture into town today, my sisters golden wedding anniversary is coming up shortly.
Have a good day all and stay safe.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

You're just showing off now.................................it's only 17.5 in the Greenhouse and the water was going into the water butt almost as fast as it was coming out of the tap at the bottom whilst I was filling watering cans. By the way that idea that you have to pick soft fruit in the warm sunshine.................naaaaaah, the Raspberries taste great in the rain...............................!!

We had the rain till about 2 then high winds for a time and then sunshine, just a typical summers dayactually managed to stay in all day without any housework well apart from running the hoover over the carpet which is quite easy after all it's usually wife's that do that then a lazy day watching a film, I was out this evening checking the garden and my barrow was sitting full of water which was about 5 inches deep, well hope the weather is a bit better tomorrow, OH has decided she wants to try going shopping first thing in the morning so will see how it goes. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Good night all.Its been a very busy day for us.
Went out shopping and got a lovely gift for my sisters golden wedding anniversary.
After lunch my son and his wife and two kids came in to visit unexpectedly.
Just as they were leaving my daughter came in with her dog.
Grandson called later in the evening.
It was lovely to see them all and it almost felt normal.
Stay safe all.

Morning all. A bit sluggish today. Went to bed at gone midnight and it was still 30 ºC! It's a rare occurrence. Mr Snoop says there will be more of this in the future. Who'd be a kid today?
Cloudy at the moment, but due to get even hotter than yesterday. Plus it's going to be very windy this afternoon. Not ideal conditions unless you're a forest fire. Still, down in the basement, where it's not quite as cool as yesterday, but still very pleasant. The same cat and dog as usual with me.
Lots of work to finish this morning, then the day is my own. Apart from a supposed visit to the bank, which I don't want to do. Definitely an afternoon nap though.
Catch you later. Have a good one meanwhile.

Morning Bones, Snoop and all.
Going to do some weeding today now that the brief downpour of rain has softened the ground up a bit. Got to find somewhere to plant out a hydrangea that was a b'day gift to my Mum in April. Poor thing is terribly potbound now.
Put some petrol in the car yesterday, the first time since February! It'll probably last me another 4 months.
First time I've been out to buy anything since lockdown.

Endless wonder.

Mornin n'alln'all
Still very windy here-and warm. Ideal clothes drying day
Off to the nearest town for us today.... got to buy powdered marble and choose a natural pigment from a specialist shop so we can get the final layer on our newly insulated walls. Both need to be there -cos we don't want the wrong colour chosen do we rary?
OH can sit in the car and read or something whilst I do a shopping grab in Lidl and Leclerc. Not looking forward to those at all.
At least we can time it so it'll be almost empty over the lunch period.
More weeding later for me -I've started to make a difference at the front of the house... but keep getting distracted by chopping back a shrub or two which have become vastly overgrownLast edited by Nicos; 28-07-2020, 08:47 AM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Morning, cool and breezy and had a brief sight of the sun earlier, supposed to be dry all day, but it looks like it might rain again, not that many jobs need doing outside today, so a lazy one might be on the books, take care and stay safe all.

Mine aren't that high yet!
But I'm glad my outdoor tomatoes are positioned in pots against the house wall...all tied together but are still swaying around.

We had to go into town to the opticians yesterday and I was dreading it. The last time we went it was a nightmare. The local council in their wisdom had decided at short notice a couple of weeks ago to pedestrianise more of it to encourage an outdoor cafe culture without thinking it through. This particular part of town suffered instant death. The on street parking had gone, footfall ceased. I was dreading it as I couldn't think where I was going to park within walking distance, for my husband, of the opticians. Joy! Scheme already reversed! At what cost?
I dread to think.
It rained all day yesterday. This morning it is grey and windy, just started to rain now. I was looking forward to a day at the allotment today. We shall see.
