24C here at the moment and rising to almost 40C tomorrow...I think we somehow got your weather by mistake Snoop

Too hot today to do much after lunch so a bit of indoor pottering -clearing away 'stuff' not needed during the next few weeks -then a bit of reading which was a nice change!

The weather went a little downhill here, cool and breezy.
However, I had my delightful two year old grandson this evening to keep me entertained.
It was a lovely change to have him for a few hours.

Nicos, we would some of that sunshine here, it's our bank holiday weekend.

40c w,e had our central heating on earlier this evening and we had the heating on in the conservatory all day which of course costs money

Gosh yes...August Bank Holiday weekend Bramble ... I'd forgotten about that It should feel like summer!

I've no idea what today will bring but if yesterday is anything to go by Hibou will sleep all day and party all night...dirty stop out has just come in with a mouse...crunched her way through it and settled down to sleep.

Morning all.

Very hot here already. I'm down in the basement with one dog only, staying nice and cool. Due to get well into the 40s today and to remain well into the 20s at night.

Got to give the range a good clean today. Now it's in the garage, I can use it again for baking. Got a shiny new chimney pipe but the poor thing itself looks its hundred-year-old-and-more age. Never mind. Still does the job.

Got some bills to prepare and send out and a bit of tidying on the cards. And an afternoon nap.

My daughter has a free day so we are taking a trip to the botsnic gardens.

Been to the lotty, now keeping out of the sun

We went to the allotment early today, before the heat. I had to brave the greenhouse to erect more support for the cucumber plants. Then weeding around and under the trees so that I can find the windfalls.
