back in the day, when i was still young, child free, and mental, I bred persian cats...in a flat.... and we had rabbits, two of, lop eared.

6 girly cats and a stud boy, all was harmony until....... boy rabbit decided he was the BOSS, and stud boy was NOT.they ate cat food, used a litter tray and stud boy cat was enormous......and petrified of boy rabbit, who decided that boy cat need neutering and he had just the teeth to do it...........hilarity ensued, and we spent many an hour dodging cat that tried to fly, in an effort to get away from rabbit what was trying surgery.
never again will i keep cats and rabbits in enclosed space, although........... twas fun watching

I could have, but where would the fun have been in that?

besides watching a rabbit clear a 3 foot gate in pursuit of a cat with its ears flat to its head, is a thing not to be missed in life

Sorry to add to this Lynda, but we had Moggs and Buns when we were kids, and the Buns were allowed in the house. All went well until the male Bun took a fancy to the male Mog. One day, he obviously lay in wait, then suddenly he appeared out of nowhere, leaped on the back of the poor unsuspecting Mog, and did his darnedest to hump him senseless.

COMPLETELY HILARIOUS - unless you were the cat!

Years ago we had a saddleback bunny and a tortoiseshell cat.
Every morning when we opened the rabbit cage the cat would jump in and they would touch noses. When we put the rabbit in her pen the cat would jump in and and they would kickbox each other with their back legs playfighting.
One morning when we opened the cage the rabbit had died, the cat jumped in as normal and kept poking the rabbit with it`s paw as if she was trying to wake it. When it didn`t move the cat turned around and she had a tear in her eye.
I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.
