Have toncillitus again! Will be pestering both GP and Consultant to find out who will actualy do the follow up Auto-immune test today, as GP said the Consultant will do it but out of all tests requested by Consultant I cannot see that as being one of them.
Also GP has noted "No action" against results of my thyroid function which it is at the same level as back in January yet I am on a higher dose of medicine now!
When I rang my Mum yesterday and told her I had the dreaded T again she straight away said she had clipped an article out of the paper. Apparently it states that Doctors advise heating to be at a constant range of 18 to 23 (think thats right?) in order to avoid getting coughs (kids always have one of these on the go, colds and TONCILLITUS. Well DH says we are struggling already to pay the HUGE elec and gas bills yet we only have the heating on for 2 hours between 6:30pm and 8:30pm and in the morning for 1 1/2 hours.
DH says that we cannot afford to replace central heating yet which dates from when the house was built in the 60s (which I agree) and wont borrow off my Dad. He says that in order for heating to be on all the time the water would be on all the time too???? I do know that if heating is on for extra time then the water becomes scorching hot, which I think is dangerous for the kids.
Also I am having terrible trouble keeping up with washing at mo cos its taking soooo long to dry, so we are constantly in a damp atmoshphere. That must be bad for me (especialy if I do have this auto immune disease) and the kids.
I asked if we could afford to stay and DH said we couldnt afford to move!
I hadnt realised things were that bad although know DH always exagerates like my Dad about money (always some tucked away somewhere) but asked if I would have to go back to work in Jan and he said maybe. I really dont want to but will if its really needed. Luckily DH is quite old fashioned (lucky me eh!) so I know he will avoid at all costs. I said we need to become even more self sufficient and said we MUST cust down the shrub that shade part of the veggie plot which would also give us more light yet he wont hear of it.
Has anyone any ideas on any of the waffle above? - not checked as its school run time again - back later!
