Wer only jesting, I know enough from your posts to know that you'll be like my OH was - he held my hand (despite the fact that I was gripping so hard it must have hurt like heck!) and murmered soothing words. Was great.

Practise makes us a little better, it doesn't make us perfect.

My reply has disappeared!! Dammit! Hope you're better soon, HW. Did suggest asking for Tramadol in my original reply and also second the TENS recommendation. Don't resort to Jeremy Kyle - you're trying to EASE the pain, remember!

Do not resort to daytime T.V. whatever you do Wayne, it'll rot your brain & you'll never be the same again, we need you with all your wits about you on here! When I was ill the other week I had to stay in bed (nearest the loo!), was too light-headed to read & ended up watching T.V., it made me so depressed I kept bursting into tears & that was just at the cooking shows & Alan Titchmarsh!

Better today thanks - I have moments were the sciatica actually dissipates.

                              Recipe:
5 minutes on the cross trainer, then apply a heat pack to the area, then perform a series stretches- 5 of each and then ice pack on the area for a period of no more than 5-6 minutes.

                              Repeat 2-3 times daily.

Garnish with cocktail of various painkillers, anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants.

Entertain with a healthy dose of Jimmy Stewart (optional).

Missed this yesterday as I was not computing...I wondered how you were on bookface when you can't go on it at work.

Can't recommend anything really, I had 3 months off after I smashed my elbow but spent the days dozing [on very strong painkillers], doing sudoku [only the right hand pages though as i couldn't hold the left hand pages down] and watching paramount comedy endlessly [we don't have sky anymore so can't do that...]. Watched every episode of Seinfeld and enjoyed every minute. Yada yada yada.

I work from home now and the TV never goes on...except when there's major news like bombings in London or USA elects a decent President.
