We had an early warm sunny spell in March 2018 with the snow drops in full bloom and humming with bees.
This year we have one that put a bud up and it has paused while the others catch up.

Lovely photo. Some early pollen coming in will stimulate the bees to build up their brood nest.

Last year about March time I watched a queen white tail bee buzzing around the potting shed both inside and out.
Then it all went quiet for a few weeks and then the humming started coming from under the floor and every flower for two or three plots in all directions was crammed with white tailed bees.
They did a good job of pollinating all the beans and squashes.

The partly opened snowdrop closed up again while it was snowing.
By the time the snow has gone the others will catch up.
The white tailed bees produced plenty of queens late in the summer making me optimistic that we will have there services again.

Mrs Grief once said she wanted colour in the garden all year round so I painted all the fence panels Blue 🤣

Your Mrs deserves a medal Nick !

A couple of years ago I was given some old plastic tubs which were otherwise destined for the tip.
I painted those green with fence paint and they are only just in need of repainting. Nice to see some colour - I agree!

That’s an amazing hellebore! ( well I thinks that what it is?)
Do you know the names of both plants by any chance?
