Janie had overheard that conversation.
I've got kapok she said , delving into her deep Dr Who type pockets.....and pulling out balls of knotted string, spider web silk thread...various sizes of darning needles..... Everyone who was Anyone, or even no one , knew how famous Janie was in the World of couture.....the garland would be spectacular !
Lumpy felt a lump of pride in her throat at as Janie stepped forward.....

Hang on a sec said Godilocks looking at tears forming in the corner of the giants eyes....

....do have a nice big bowl of my porridge....it’s not just any porridge, but Gardeners Rest porridge...made by Bren’s fair hand...look, she’s even added....

flopped to the ground, making sure not to spill any of the precious porridge, and burst into tears.

"Oh dear, oh dear! I'm such a such a sentimental old Hector", he said. "That's my name by the way, Hector. I've so missed company and the good things in life like porridge, cranberries, beer, leek pie and that homemade pizza looks delicious too. I'm being so greedy. Is there anything I can do for you in return?"

Did anyone bring any pork pies????...I recall Snadgers pies last year were exceptional...and brens chutney was utterly delish!!!!

It was unanimously agreed that Hector should be an honorary Grape. He had the appetite and thirst of a true Grape and had, after all, helped out in getting the GR sorted.

So, gin fizzes were had all round by way of celebration. And then Janie and the giant went off to see about some roses.
