My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
I have a ½ plot but I don't work it at present cos of College x 2 and the day job to fit in, so I pay the rent on it, my mate is working it for the next year - I get produce from it - then it reverts back to me after the year.
I am on list but am bit of a fraud as I only want to put the ugly veg there out of sight, as my 150 foot garden has plenty of space, and we have raised beds, and I grow loads at home too, but I need MORE room.
#1 - I waited on a list for over a year to get this plot
#2 - I was offered after several people on the list turned it down for being "too overgrown". We had it cleared and planted within 2 months.
#3 - Is next door to my original plot, and the old chap whose name is on the agreement is currently dying from cancer. I took the plot on to keep it under cultivation and it provides veg for him & his wife as well as us. When he loses the fight, I will be taking it over and continuing to provide his wife with veg as long as she wants it.
Oh, and there are 5 of us, so to get us self-sufficent in veg & fruit, plus help out my (single mom) friend with 2 kids, 3 plots will be working hard for us!
2 beteen us, cleaned 4 other plots and got 2 lovely new neighbours, fingers crossed we get another 2 soon for the remaning plots, then we will have a full working lottie.

And well you deserve them, that is a very admirable thing you are doing there hun
